During the pandemic epidemic COVID-19 situation, the Department of Statistics, CHMKM Govt Arts and Science College Koduvally, conducted an online survey among all the students of the college. The objectives of the survey were to identify the issues and problems faced by the students regarding the online classes. Also to identify the IT facilities and gadgets available with the students and the issues with the internet access in their home.  All the students of the college were participated in the survey and the results are presented in a brief report.  We identified that 24 of our students have not able to buy a smartphone for their online class and after a detailed enquiry we found 9 more students have also face the same difficulty. To overcome this problem we started a campaigning named “ Padana Sahaya Nithi”, and collected contributions from teachers, office staffs, students, former teachers, alumni members,  and from well-wishers from society.  The distribution of smartphone was conducted in an online programme and which was inaugurated by the MLA of Koduvally Constituency Sri. Karat Razak. The Director of Collegiate Education Smt. Vigenswari IAS and then Vice Chancellor of University of Calicut Dr. Anil Vallathol were delivered felicitation talk in the programme.  Thus we have distributed 33 smartphones to the deserving students and ensured the 100% participation in online classes to all subjects.
